New 30th April 2009

Just a small updated with some more pictures of my 7 1/4" gauge model of Talyllyn Railway Edward Thomas taken over Easter Weekend. These photographs were provided by Mat Rainer and Gilly Gould, so my thanks to them. Please visit their website for many more train pictures.

Also new are a small number of pictures taken at the Bala Lake Railway during a working visit in early April.

What has struck me about compiling this list is that of the photographs listed, six were taken at the now sadly closed and much missed Dobwalls Theme Park. Fortunately, I have recently discovered that the whole collection of locomotives were sold within the UK and can now be found at Plowmans Nursery & Plant Centre in Ferndown, Dorset (see the overview page for more details and links to sites). Whilst the irreplacable charm and development of the circuits at Dobwalls are clearly lost forever, at least it will still be possible to enjoy riding behind these superb machines once again. I hope to visit the centre later this year to see what is there. It's also interesting to note that the three most popular videos on the site are also all from Dobwalls:
